Mirror House Iceland
The mirrored glass cabin below a basalt cliff, reflecting the grass and sky

Mirror House Iceland

The room at sunset, glass walls on every side and the low sun over the water

The house

A mirror-glass house for two.

A mirror glass house that reflects the landscape it stands in — the grass, the mountain, and whatever the weather is doing that day. From a distance you can miss it completely.

Step inside and the same walls turn clear. It is warm and quiet in here: underfloor heating, a kitchenette, and a double bed facing the windows. Outside on the deck, a private hot tub, hot every day of the year.

Perfect for couples, or for travelling alone, if what you want is a night with nothing between you and Iceland.

Where you are

Hjallabrekka 1, West Iceland.

About an hour and a quarter from Reykjavík. Good road the whole way, then gravel for the last few metres up the hill, with parking right below the house. There is no public transport, so come by car — and in winter we recommend four-wheel drive.
